- Create and monitor project development schedules to ensure critical milestones are met and projects are delivered to the agreed quality, delivery date, and cost targets
- Provide a single point of contact for project status; keep the cross-functional team on task and target
- Take ownership of project milestones, including those of third-party partners
- Liaise between internal and external customers, strategic partners and engineering teams to ensure schedule and quality commitments are kept
- Serve as a process champion for the project management process
- Manage multiple projects with competing priorities
- Work effectively with multi-level management and technical engineering staff personnel on a daily basis
- Introduce products into production; coordinate with outsource manufacturing partners to launch new products successfully
- Strong negotiation skills
- Gain customer acceptance at project completion
- Risk management/contingency planning
- Remain flexible and adaptable within a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing requirements
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering project management in an engineering-focused company, preferably in a related industry
- Proven track record of driving multiple concurrent projects successfully from start to completion
- Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and organizational skills required
- PMP Certification considered a plus
